Event Description

Saturday, December 2, from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Includes shopping, dining, craft shows, raffles, auctions, and fun for children of all ages.
Trolley rides — with 15 marked stops — will be offered from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. so visitors can easily check out the many holiday activities taking place at businesses, churches, clubs, and nonprofit organizations throughout Fairport Harbor. People also are likely to see the Grinch as he makes his rounds to village establishments and “steals” gifts for Toys for Tots.
This year, Who-Village will be set up in Memorial Park, which is between Second and Third Street and Eagle and Plum streets, rather than at Finn Hollow Park in the 300 block of High Street. This year’s event will also include two food trucks and musical entertainment.
Other highlights of the 2023 Harbor Holiday and Day with the Grinch include:
• 11 a.m. to noon — The Grinch will sign books and be available for photos at the Fairport Harbor Public Library, located at 335 Vine St.
• 5 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. — Who-Village character costume contest for children up to 12 years old, with prizes for the best costumes. Costume judging will be followed by a procession to the Fairport Harbor Lighthouse at 129 Second St.
• 5:45 p.m. — The Grinch reads “How the Grinch Stole Christmas” from the top of the lighthouse.
• 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. — The village’s Christmas tree lighting ceremony will take place at Memorial Park. Afterward, Santa Claus and the Grinch will be available for photos in the park’s gazebo.
During this same time frame, hot cocoa will be served at Fairport Harbor Congregational Church, located across from the park at 308 Third St.
