Explore Fairport Harbor where the Grand River meets Lake Erie! We’re known for our walleye, perch and steelhead trout action. Fairport has three boating ramps, a fishing pier, several marinas, canoe/kayak access, available dockage and charter boat fishing.

While you’re here, walk the breakwall, visit the lighthouse museum, or spend a day at Fairport Harbor Metroparks Lakefront Park.

Fairport Harbor is a deep draft commercial harbor, ranked 28th on the Great Lakes. According to the Army Corps of Engineers, it is the 111th leading U.S. port with 2.5 million tons of material shipped or received in 2005.

Lake Metroparks 18-acre park provides small boat access (canoe and kayak) to the Grand River. Free. Fishing is popular along the banks of the river. Seasonal picnic tables and restrooms available.

The Port Authority meets the third Monday of each month,
6 p.m. at the Village Hall, 220 Third St. The public is welcome to all meetings.

Fairport Harbor Lighthouse & Marine Museum 
The Fairport Harbor Marine Museum is the first Great Lakes lighthouse marine museum in the state of Ohio, as well as in the United States. It was founded in 1945 by the Fairport Harbor Historical Society, which is devoted to preserving and perpetuating the historic tradition and sentiment in Fairport Harbor and the Great Lakes area.   More
